The Federal Agency of Sea and River transport “Russian Maritime Security Service” approved the security plan for the ice-resistant stationary platform D-6 developed by JSC “TRANSAS Consulting” for «Lukoil-Kaliningradmorneft» Ltd. This security plan is the first practice of using the ISPS Code for stationary platforms in Russia.
The work was fulfilled in cooperation with the Fleet administration of «Lukoil-Kaliningradmorneft» Ltd., and the responsible staff of the ice-resistant stationary platform D-6.
During the development of the security plan, major threats for the ice-resistant stationary platform D-6 were defined, a security assessment was made and new procedure were developed.
The realization of these procedures will increase the safety of the D-6 against acts of terrorism and piracy on sea and decrease the consequences of this acts (hijacking, oil spill, blackmail and etc.).
