JSC “Transas Consulting” won the tender organized by OJSC “Lukoil” on “Developing organizational and technical documentation in accordance with the ISPS Code for the port facility “Marine port Varandey”. This port facility also includes the offshore ice-resistant fixed loading pier “Varandey”.
In the course of this work a vulnerability assessment will be done and a port facility security plan developed, which includes requirements and recommendations of improving of its security. This is the first time in the history of the Russian Federation that this kind of work shall be done for objects, located on the Arctic shelf, accounting the actual situation of the location of the port facility and the actual threats for the objects, which are parts of the port facility.
