Carrying out Security Assessments and development of Security Plans for ships, port facilities and oil rigs

     The International Ship and Port Facility Security Code (ISPS Code) determines the international requirements in terms of security of the major objects of the international navigation.

 According to the ISPS Code the following objects must have an valid security plan:

  • ships on international voyages including passenger ships, cargo ships of 500 GT and upwards;
  • mobile offshore drilling units;
  • port facilities serving such ships.

     From 2002 JSC “TRANSAS Consulting” is carrying out security assessments for ships, mobile offshore drilling units, port facilities and develops security plans.

     We have developed security plans for more than 700 ships under the Russian flag, mobile offshore drilling units and port facilities. All this security plans were approved by the Federal Agency of Sea and River Transport “Russian Maritime Security Service” and/or Federal Agency of Sea and River Transport and are successfully used by our clients.

      In addition, our company has developed security plans for many foreign ships.

     Germanischer Lloyd approved our security plans, including ships under the flag of Panama. The Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RMRS) also approved our security plans developed for foreign ships, in accordance with their authority.

    Also security plans for mobile offshore drilling units, oil rigs and offshore maritime terminals were developed and approved.
